Video on Validation

My son Ryan sent me this as he thought it might be useful in the communications module. I think a small clip of the original guy who comes for "validation" would be really good.

I couldn't get these video clips to play as my software is outdated but they sound great. Hopefully someone can view them. We will also need to look at copyright

Copyright info from GBC

Re: Copyright informationUnfortunately I don’t know who Luigi may have been thinking of.. The College has its own photo/video release policy in Marketing, but I think you may be looking for more general terms of use, like Creative Commons licensing. Dave, do you know anything about copyright? Otherwise Jan I think you can find information like that at creativecommons.org.
Thanks

What happens to "comments" when you cahnge a wiki?

Hi all
When I made a number of changes on "Kits Questions and Answers" I put several comments in the comment place up in the right corner before I save the changes. Now when I look at the changed documents, I cannot see the comments explaining the changes and asking opinions of the others in the work group. What Am I doing wrong?

Questions and Answers

This is my third try to write a comment that I hope the rest of you can see.
The first try was when I tried to put a comment ofn Kit's wiki of questions and answers. The small cahnge I put in was saved, but the
comment was not saved.
Then I thought I could put something in my blog that all of you would see. so I clicked on blog and put my comments again. I just
came in now to make another comment and found that my blog had nothing on it. I looked around and found my comment on the
wiki of questions and answers. I thought I was in my own blog but apparently there is a blog for each titled wiki.
So now I am saying the same thing again:
I really liked the questions and the explanations for the correct answers. Th objectives are great too. My suggestion was that we put
in the rational for why the remaining answers are incorrect. That way the gaming people can utilize that information when they build
the evaluation.

Content Collection from hospices

I spent 21/2 hours calling all the hospices on my list (minus King Aurora and Vaughan who I will see)
Things I learned:
1. Friday is not a good day to do it. I spoke to live individuals only 4 times in 23 calls.
2. Long distance charges may become an issue. The two Coordinator of Volunteers I spoke with took 20 mins each.
3. The two Coordinators of Volunteer I spoke with did not have anything to share. One said that they were very careful not to video
tape any clients or volunteers because of privacy and the other said all their training was done by an outside agency who taught the
Fundamentals for $35. The one was very keen on the idea and wanted to use it when it was done. The one who used fundamentals
said that they were "very differencet" in the way they did things and probably wouldn't use it.
I would be interested in what the rest of you find out when you make your calls.

New Resources

I added to the Resource list page a great site with all kinds of video from the patient`s perspective. Really good content. Not sure
how we get permission but have a look at it and see if you agree that it could probably be used throughout the entire site.
The link is click here
http://www.cancerview.ca/portal/server.pt?open=512&objID=497&&PageID=5149&mode=2&in_hi_userid=3433&cached=true

I also have another resource that I thought I entered on that same page - I know I saved it but when the page came up again, the second entry was not there. I suspect I have done something wrong. I don`t seem to be a fast learner!
The second resource is a set of DVDs called Volunteer Training Videos and it is sponsored by The Council on Palliative care and The McGill Medical Simulator Centre and it was done in April 2009. One of the Hospcie palliative Care team members went ot a conference in Quebec City last week and they were distrbuting them. SHe knew what we were trying to do and especially attended the workshop where it was being presented. Unfortunately, my computer is having ìssues today and will not play it. I wondered if anyone
else had seen it.
